loss last night. I'm not usually one to blame the refs for the outcome of a game, but last night was an exception. Seriously atrocious reffing. It's a real shame to completely take the game out of the hands of the players. Perhaps the Bulls wouldn't have won the game with a different officiating crew, but it would have been nice to find out. Ugh.
The field was a mess, nothing but dirt. Can you tell?!
Tonight, Jordan's high school team is the "away" team playing against 3 of her club teammates. At the field where Megan's team won their District Championship her freshman year.
Which just also happens to be the field where this picture was taken of my grandmother. In 1937. Grandma is the one in front with the cute dimples.
First of all, I must say we are in mourning over Saturday's loss to Alabama. As sad as it was to see, the better team (that day) won. I'm looking forward to starting off the new year watching Timmy put on that blue & orange uniform one more time.
Now on to Less Punctual Matters:
In more Gator News...
My Gator Girl hosted the family Thanksgiving Dinner at her condo in Gainesville...
We brought my parents up...
And Michael's parents drove up...
Add in Michael's brother, Rob & that's quite a motley crew we had.
Just kidding! It was a lovely day, filled with all my favorites. Family, fotos & food.
See all the 12s hanging all over? Megan decorated not only for Thanksgiving, but for Ben's birthday, which was the day before Thanksgiving...
Wasn't that sweet? He thought it was pretty cool.
We ordered the turkey & fixins' from Publix. It was ohsogood!!! I may never cook my own turkey again (not that I USUALLY cook Thanksgiving dinner, but I have on occasion once).
It wasn't a fancy dinner by any means...paper plates, plastic cups & flatware, you know, college style, but I think everyone really enjoyed it.
And, I, for one was very Thankful to have both sides of our family together.
Now for your viewing pleasure... watch this corner kick.
That was our girl, Jordan, bending it "like Beckham" in a high school game last week. :)
Now I've got the Thanksgiving post out of the way... on to Christmas!
