You all know that today is Groundhog's Day. Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, so that is supposed to mean 6 more weeks of winter... but, if PP were here in my part of the "Sunshine State", he would NOT have seen his shadow, as it is a gloomy, rainy day here. So I say that, for us, Spring is just around the corner. :) Not that I expect my friends up north to feel sympathy for our "winter weather" lately, but I'm greatly feeling the need to put on some shorts & soak in some sun.

Not only is today Groundhog's Day, but it's also my in-laws' wedding anniversary! Happy Anniversary Jim & Chris, a girl truly couldn't ask for a better family to marry into! Here is the happy couple on their lot on the golf course before their new house was built. I think they are standing where their back porch is now. Not a bad view for Florida is it?

As if the day couldn't get ANY more special, it is also the birthday of our cat, George. George was born to a stray cat that some friends of ours took in, I want to say 6 years ago. George is our part-time cat. He cheats on us with our neighbors down the street. He pops in to eat every morning, but then leaves immediately & spends the majority of time in their garage... Here he is back when he loved us. Actually, he still loves us, he just hates our younger cat, Harry & he loves the neighbors' little girl.
So if you were looking for things to celebrate on this gloomy Monday afternoon... I'm happy I could help!
